I received a traffic citation on June 15 2011 the officer wrote July 15 and also gave me all the copies?

is the ticket considered void and without his copies is it even in the system? He was on a motor bike and two other cop cars pulled up behind him. I only showed registration, is it possible that they put it in their computer system?
