Is this normal parenting?

i used to be involved with drugs and alcohol and i'm 15, and my parents sent me to counseling. and i recently went out with friends and my parents got mad cause i was out with people who can drive, there only a year older, and they can't seem to get the fact the i'm growing up, and i have my permit. they threatened to send me to counseling because of my attitude...they are completely unfair and weird. like wtf i hate them
